Etapa nas vodi iz središča
Kranjske Gore, zimsko-poletnega turističnega središča, znanega po tekmah
svetovnega pokala v moškem alpskem smučanju in po bližnji Planici, ki je eno od
največjih središč smučarskih skokov in poletov na svetu. V poletnem času je
izhodišče za številne planinske ture v visokogorje Julijskih Alp ali malo nižjih
Karavank. Kranjska Gora je tudi središče za priprave raznih športnih ekip.
Pot poteka najprej po levem bregu
Save Dolinke, nato skozi vas Srednji Vrh nazaj v dolino, v Gozd Martuljek in v
bližino Martuljških slapov pod Špikom. Vas leži na obrobju Triglavskega
narodnega parka, nadaljevanje poti pa nas vodi po desnem bregu reke Save skoraj
po meji Triglavskega narodnega parka. S poti lahko občudujemo vrhove Martuljške
skupine, Vrtaškega Slemena, Trupejevega poldna in Kepe v Karavankah. Pot vodi
po izredno mirnem predelu do Mojstrane, pod strmimi skalami Grančišča (čez
katerega je speljana strma in razgledna ferata – zavarovana plezalna pot) k
Slovenskemu planinskemu muzeju na vhodu v dolino Vrata.

Večinoma je pot bolj ravninska ob
reki Savi Dolinki, napornejši je le vzpon na razgledni Srednji vrh.
The stage leads you along the
Sava Dolinka Valley and partially on the edges of the Karavanke mountain range,
and connects the winter and summer tourist centre of Kranjska Gora with
Mojstrana, which is located at the entry to the valley of Vrata.
The trail leads us from the
centre of Kranjska Gora, a winter and summer tourist centre, known for alpine
world cup competitions and to nearby Planica, one of the world’s major ski
jumping and ski flying centres. In summer, Planica is the trailhead of many
alpine tours in the high mountains of the Julian Alps and the Karavanke
mountain range. Kranjska Gora is also a sports training centre.
The trail continues along the
left bank of the Sava Dolinka River, over Srednji vrh and back to the valley,
Gozd Martuljek, close to the Martuljški slapovi waterfalls below Špik mountain.
The village lies on the brinks of Triglav National Park, and the trail
continues along the right bank of the Sava River, almost along the edges of
Triglav National Park. The trail offers magnificent views of the mountains of
Martuljek, Vrtaško Sleme, Trupejevo poldne and Kepa in the Karavanke. The trail
runs through a peaceful part of Mojstrana, below the steep rocks of Grančišče
(where a steep and panoramic ferata – protected climbing trail) runs to the
Slovenian Alpine Museum at the entry point to the Vrata Valley.

The trail is predominantly flat
only along the Sava Dolinka River, the ascent to the panoramic Srednji vrh is
more demanding.
Die Etappe führt Sie aus dem
Zentrum von Winter-/Sommerdestination Kranjska Gora, die für die
Weltcup-Meisterschaft im Skifahren für Männer bekannt ist und für das nahe
gelegene Planica, das eines der größten Skispring- und Skiflugzentren der Welt.
Im Sommer ist es ein Ausgangspunkt für zahlreiche Wandertouren ins Hochgebirge
der Julischen Alpen und etwas niedrigeren Karawanken. In Kranjska Gora
verlaufen auch viele Trainings verschiedener Sportteams.
Der Weg verläuft zuerst am linken
Ufer von Sava Dolinka, dann durch das Dorf Srednji vrh zurück ins Tal, nach
Gozd Martuljek und in der Nähe von Martuljek Wasserfällen unter Špik. Das Dorf
liegt am Rand von Triglav Nationalpark und als nächstes führt Sie der Weg am
rechten Flussufer von Sava, fast entlang der Grenze von Triglav Nationalpark.
Am Weg können Sie die Gipfel der Martuljek Gruppe, Vrtaško Sleme, Trupejevo
poldne und Kepa (Mittagskogel) in Karawanken bewundern. Der Weg verläuft im
ruhigen Teil von Mojstrana, unter den steilen Wand von Grančišče (wo auch eine
steile und aussichtsreiche Ferrata – gesicherter Kletterweg führt) zum
Slowenischen Bergsteigermuseum am Eingang ins Tal Vrata.

Der Weg ist zum größten Teil eben
und verläuft im Tal von Sava Dolinka, nur der Aufstieg zum Aussichtspunkt
Srednji vrh ist anstrengender.
