TEHNIČNI
MUZEJ SLOVENIJE-BISTRA
Tehniški muzej Slovenije domuje v nekdanjem samostanskem oz.
grajskem kompleksu v Bistri pri Vrhniki. Naselje in grad nosita ime po bistri
vodi kraških izvirov, ki dajejo okolju poseben čar. Bistra je svojo kulturno,
politično, gospodarsko in družbeno vlogo v minulih stoletjih zamenjala kar
trikrat: od leta 1260 do razpustitve v letu 1782 je bila kartuzija, po prenovi
leta 1826 je služila kot graščina, od leta 1951 pa je stalno prebivališče TMS.
V desetletju pred osamosvojitvijo Slovenije je TMS uspelo pridobiti 15 avtomobilov ki jih je
uporabljal Jugoslovanski predsednik Tito. To so zelo redki primerki prestižnih
izredno tehničnih vozil z zgodovinsko vrednostjo. Ta vozila je Tito dobil v dar
od takratnih predsednikov Stalina in Hruščova.
MERCEDES 540k (l 1939) dar hrvaškega notranjega ministrstva,
PACKARD (l1937) darilo J.Stalina,ZIS- dva avtomobila pa darilo n. Hruščov.
HORCH 951A darilo tretje ruske armade in ROLLS ROYCE (L 1952) KI GA JE Titu podarila
republika Slovenija.

MUSEUM OF SLOVENIA-BISTRA
The Technical Museum of Slovenia is located at Bistra near
Vrhnika, on the southwestern margins of the broad and flat Ljubljana Basin,
some 22 km from the nation’s capital. It is housed in what was originally a
monastery but later became a grand mansion. Both settlement and manor take their
name from the clear karstic springs, which issue forth from under the adjacent
wooded hillside. Rebuilt and refashioned on several occasions, Bistra has
enjoyed a variety of cultural, political, economic and social roles over the
centuries. From 1260 to the dissolution of 1782, it was a Carthusian monastery;
following renovation in 1826 Bistra served as manor house, and since 1951 it
has been the home to the nation’s Technical Museum.
In the decide prior to Slovenian,s independence , TMS to acuqire
15 cars used bay president of Yugoslavia
,marshal J.B.Tito. These conist mainly of rare examples of prestiguios limousines
that have considerable motor- industry heritage ,as vell as histical value. The most cars are a gift from former president of Soviet president
Nikita Hruščov and Josip.Stalin.
