SABOTIN 608m GORIŠKA BRDA

V POLETNEM ČASU BODITE PREVIDNI ZARADI MOŽNOSTI UGRIZA KAČ (11h-19h).

S parkirišča prečimo solkanski most in nato na njegovi drugi strani opazimo planinske oznake za Sabotin (južna in severna pot). Za vzpon na Sabotin po severni poti se najprej spustimo pod most, nato pa hodimo po poti, ki poteka ob reki Soči in železnici navzgor. Zložna, oziroma vodoravna pot, pa nas nato pelje mimo HE Solkan in nas po približno pol ure hoje od izhodišča pripelje do planinskih smerokazov, kjer nadaljujemo levo navzgor.

Pot naprej se zmerno vzpenja, po stari vojaški mulatjeri do lepega razgledišča s klopco. Tu pot zavije levo in nas po nadaljnjih nekaj minutah vzpona pripelje do razpotja poti, kjer imamo za nadaljevanje dve možnosti. Nadaljujemo desno v smeri Sabotina (levo Sabotin, mimo ruševin svetega Valentina), po poti, ki se postopoma začne vse strmeje vzpenjati. Vse bolj strma pot, pa nas pripelje pod pečine vršnega pobočja Sabotina.

Pot nato s pomočjo jeklenice v zmernem vzponu preči strmo pobočje (nezahtevno) in se za tem vzpne do številnih Kavern (dobro je imeti s seboj svetilko, da se sprehodimo po rovih). Pred kavernami pot zavije levo in se ponovno s pomočjo jeklenice povzpne po stopnicah. Sledi strm vzpon skozi vojaške rove in pot nas pripelje do doma na Sabotinu.

Increasingly steep path leads us to crest slopes below the cliffs Sabotin.

The path then through jeklenice in moderate climb steep hillside crosses (limited) and, for this vzpne to a number of caverns (good to have with him a lamp that walks through rovih). Before the cavern path turns left and again with the help of jeklenice climb stairs. Followed by a steep ascent through the galleries and the military path leads to the house on Sabotinu.
